Stefanie Warchocki (teacher) has studied dance for the past 20 years. She began dancing at the age of seven in Buffalo, New York and continued her education at the University at Buffalo, graduating in May 2005 with a B.A. in dance. During her college career, Stefanie had master classes with several dance companies including Limon, Bill T. Jones, Martha Graham and Giordano. In 2001-2002, Stefanie cheered professionally for the NFL’s Buffalo Bills. Stefanie also spent two years as the choreographer for the University’s dance team as well as a member of the department’s Zodiaque Studio Dance Ensemble. She spent five years teaching in Buffalo, New York until moving to Richmond in 2005. Stefanie is very proud to mention some special awards: First place Titanium Award at 2008 DEA Nationals in NYC for her duo “Bright Lights,” and Teacher’s Choice Award and Best Choreography for her piece “No Remorses” at Dance Olympus Regional in March 2010.
