Jessica Morgan
(owner and teacher) is proud to be celebrating her dance studio’s 25th Anniversary. Ms. Morgan began her business by teaching at area daycares and classes using the basement of her church in 1985. Over the years, Ms. Morgan has built her business to well over a thousand students a year at both her locations in Richmond and Midlothian. Her performing groups, the “Jems” and "Dance Force" have received many platinum awards and won the President's Cup at Dance Educators of America national competition. Jessica extends her dance talents by serving the community through doing career/arts days at local schools, directing a liturgical dance group at Woodlake Methodist Church, serving as a judge for DEA regional dance conventions, and offering dance classes for Girl Scout badges and more. Ms. Morgan founded the Virginia Dance Festival in 1999 as a benefit for the Children's Hospital of Richmond. She has brought over 33 dance organizations together from the Richmond area to perform raising over $126,000. Jessica Morgan has received her B.S. and M.S. from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. She has been awarded The Presidential Citation three different times, noting her as an “outstanding educator” by the Governor’s School of the Arts in Virginia. Her national memberships include Dance Masters of America and Dance Educators of America. Ms Jessica is very proud of her daughter, Vanessa who is a graphic artist. She is equally proud of her son, Glenn Jr. and daughter-in-law, Gisela who dance with a modern company in Jacksonville, Florida, teach Pilates and Yoga, and are physical trainers. Additionally, Jessica just celebrated 36 years of marriage to Glenn Sr. (Mr. Fix It) this past August.
