Amy Habel (teacher)Irish Instructor and Artistic Director for Crossroads) has been an instructor at Jessica Morgan School of Dance for nine years. Amy began her dance training at the age of three at Fredericksburg Ballet Centre (FBC) in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She danced at FBC for 17 years studying ballet, tap and jazz, and performed in the Senior Company for four years. In 2000, she decided to focus her dance training specifically on Irish Dance. Amy has trained and attended workshops with former “Riverdance” members as well as highly certified Irish instructors. Currently, she trains under the instruction of Danny Tighe, TCRG and Terra Beek-Kenakin, former championship dancers. In 2001, she became the artistic director for Crossroads Irish Dance Troupe and continues to enjoy coaching the troupe. Amy graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in May 2004 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and Management. When she is not teaching, she is an Employment Specialist at the Virginia Department of ABC. She thanks her husband Dan for his constant help, hard work and patience! | |||
